PREPARING FOR THE PSLE ENGLISH PAPER

At Primary 5 and 6, students are required to demonstrate mastery of grammar rules, an acquisition of varied vocabulary used suitably, higher level critical thinking and analytical skills along with drawing conclusions based on their general knowledge. As such, we not only equip them with the necessary content knowledge needed but also skills and strategies needed to ace their examinations.

Incorporating the SAIL approach, your child will be equipped with the following skill sets:

• Result-focused, exam-smart strategies
• Critical thinking and answering skills for comprehension
• Expansion of vocabulary (spoken and written)
• Mastery of PSLE-tested grammar rules
• Expansion of vocabulary (spoken and written)
• Exposure to general knowledge and current affairs that will give them an edge in the exams
• Coverage on the Oral and Paper 2 (comprehension, grammar, vocabulary components)

*Writing will be covered in Primary 5 English classes but not in the Primary 6 English classes. For Primary 6 students, preparation for composition is available in the Primary 5 and 6 Writing class. Primary 5 students who wish to supplement their writing skill can join that class as well.*
